Schüco is a worldwide leader for energy-efficient buildings. For their 2011 exhibit at the world’s largest trade fair for architecture BAU in Munich, they needed a concept, design and execution for a four panel multitouch table. With just a few weeks left until the start of the fair.
The purpose of the multitouch table was to provide visitors detailed information and engaging videos of the Schüco Energy3 Building. Since the four screens of the large table were not digitally connected, the design had to work as a whole as well as individually for each segment of the table.
The solution was a large image of the building as the background with hotspots located in a way that each table had several to choose from. Once the user selected on hotspot matching a feature of the building, he was able to flip through all of the other hotspot features within his panel. The panel was movable and scalable.
